Is CoinBeacon really free?
Yes. There is one plan and it costs nothing: all 23 alert types including indicator and watchlist alerts, the market scanner with 19 scan types, the screener, Smart Setups, every live board and unlimited chart indicators. Prices come from 46 exchanges. The plan is metered by volume (5 active alerts, 10 notifications a day, 5 watchlists of 10 coins), never by locking a feature.
What is the catch?
The caps: 5 alerts armed at once, 10 notifications a day and 5 watchlists of 10 coins. Nothing else is held back, and the caps are printed here rather than discovered after you sign up.
What will Pro include, and when?
Higher caps and deeper history: more active alerts and notifications a day, more and bigger watchlists, and longer archives of setups, trends and cascades. There is no date yet and nothing to buy. When it arrives it raises the limits on the free plan; it does not remove features from it.
Do I need an account to use the live boards?
No. Price movers, volume movers, liquidations, funding rates, the screener, Smart Setups and the detectors are all readable without signing in. You need a free account to save alerts, watchlists and screens, because those have to be stored somewhere.
Do I need a credit card or exchange API keys?
Neither. Sign up with Google or an email address. CoinBeacon only reads public market data; it never connects to your exchange accounts or your funds.
What counts as an active alert?
An alert that is armed and waiting to fire. One-shot alerts stop counting once they fire or expire, so you can create as many as you like over time; only 5 can be live at the same moment.
